Does the electric door lock actuator draw its power through the timer delay? If the timer is fried should the power locks still function?

The power locks in my 88 still worked. What didn't work was the lights when the doors were opened, and the release on the doors for the convertible hatch.
I replaced the transistor in my delay timer and everything works again.

You need the interior lights to release the tonneau cover if the car is a convertible using the switches on the doors. You can use the button in the console without the lights though as this switch regardless to release the tonneau. To use the door switches, just turn the headlight switch to turn on the interior lights then the tonneau cover will release using the switches on the doors (just don't forget to turn them off when done).
I think this also applies to the rear glass in the coupe but I can't guarantee that.
The door locks are not on the same circuit as the interior lights (they're on the one with the power seats) so they work with or without the interior lights on.
