Default Are the 92 & 93 motors the same? And...

If there are differences what are they?
Thank you for your input.

Cam on the 93 is slightly different, and the 93 will have composite valve covers.

They are identical aside from the heat shield, valve covers and camshaft 93’s were rated 300hp and 340tq 92’s 300 and 330

When you say differences, do you mean performance or engine details?
There are several small details,

Good questions:

And, IIRC, engines spanning from 92-96 (LT1s) were initially MAP motors, and switched to MAF (mass air pressure vs. mass air FLOW) at some point. (MAF can accommodate minor mods to the intake and exhaust w/o having to be tuned.) And, I'll have to check, or maybe someone has the reference handy, but were ALL 92-96 LT1s sequentially injected, or were there some years where they were BATCH injected (as were some L98s)??

No.

'92-'93 were MAP and batch fire
'94-'96 had MAF, '96 had MAF and MAP like most OBD II, and were sequential inj.
^None of those changes had anything to do w/the engine itself; that would be car/harness/ECM. Only engine changes that I'm aware of are valve covers and cam changes.

ALL L98 was batch fire.

Just a couple things. Corvette always 4 bolt block. Everything else mostly 2 bolt.
92-93 lt1 corvette only difference valve covers. F body different accessory brackets and 2 bolt block
94 corvette and F body still use Opti I (spline)
Full size cars gets iron head LT1 (5.7) and L99 (4.3) Opti II ( pin)
95-97 all use Opti II
96-97 have crankshaft position sensor.( OBD2)
Essentially 3 different timing covers 92-94 spline, 94-95 pin, and 96-97 with cps. 3 valve covers 92 magnesium 93-96 Corvette composite and all others stamped steel. Corvette and F body use different and non interchangeable flywheels.
96 m6 corvette and 97 Limited production SLP F body m6 LT4.
Fuel systems changes 92-93 MPFI speed density PCM uses replaceable prom (chip)
94-95 SFI. MAF OBD1 PCM is reprogrammed
(eprom)
96-97 same as above but OBD2
GM vin P LT1 regardless of application.
