Lately I've been daily driving my Vette and am fixing all the little stupid things that I've put off forever. Now on to my power seat track. It fits me fine but I want to be able to move it now so my daughter can drive it too. Anyone rebuilding these? Are the gears serviceable? Or am I stuck looking for a used one? Thanks.

Lots of rebuilt ones out there. The plastic housing that holds the gears in place get brittle and crack. I got mine off Ebay. Some of the corvette parts houses have them as well.

You can buy either a completely refurbished one or just the gear track transmission from Ecklers. The refurbished ones are $225 with your old one in exchange. $165 for the drive if you want to dismantle the track and do it yourself.
