The coolest part of this is that I play in a 10 piece festival/show band and I bought the car with only gig money.
Every time I did a show last year I stuck the money in a bucket & by the end of summer I had saved up enough to go shopping.
So basically, playing guitar bought my Corvette.

Play gtr = play guitar. He said he bought the Vette completely with money saved from his side gig playing guitar in a band. OP...cool story and congrats on the Vette!
I had to Google "Nissan GTR" to even find out what that was.
The last Datsun/Nissan I owned was a 1972 240Z.
If I were looking to race anyone I wouldn't do it in a C4 convertible, I'd try to borrow my bosses Lamborghini Murcielago.
I also have a friend with a GT40 (a real one) and another with a Hellcat.
Both are somewhat peppy rides. LOL
Yes, PLAY GTR stands for 'Play Guitar'.
You could go so far as to say I .......... "Got the car for a song". Bah-Dum, TSS!
