pulled out the speakers, and head unit to get ready to install all new stuff. plans are to modify front boxes to accept 6" round components, tweeters going on A pillars and modifying rear enclosures to accept 6X9, then 4 channel amp going on rear panel, 8" Bazooka tube in rear and Pioneer double din. all new wiring.
My Bose head unit has the same "coating" on the face. Not to steal your thread, but does anybody know how to remove it without damaging the surface. I've tried a number of cleaners and have not been successful yet.
Test fit head unit today. Got lucky and new unit is exact same size as the stock. So no trimming of bezel is needed. Will probably still cut back of dash for ease of wiring.
