Pioneer/Bose Stereo Adapter?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, or if I'm beating a dead horse but I've been searching the forums for the last couple of days and had no luck.
I'm considering installing a Double DIN Pioneer AVIC 8000/6500/7000 etc in my 92, and I would prefer to retain the original BOSE Speakers. I know there is an adapter, to go from Pioneer to Bose as I've seen this in a few different threads, but I can't find any posts that detail it at all.
Is THIS the adapter in question? Is there something else?
Yes I Understand newer speakers work better and can appreciate an argument to rewire the whole car, but I'm really just interested in knowing what it takes to Install a Pioneer AVIC Double Din in the car using the stock speakers.
What am I missing here?
Thanks in advance!

I used this Metra 70-1857 Bypass Harness with my AVH 2440 NEX Pioneer and stock Bose speaker/amps on my 96.
Works fine and the Pioneer head unit sounds better than the Delco unit ever did.
The harness is extremely long but I just wrapped it up with cable ties and stuck it under the passenger side footwell panel.

If you buy your head unit from Crutchfield the harness is free. but is you already have one then you can still buy from them. they have great techs on chat on their website. I am in the middle of doing a Pioneer DD unit right now but with amp and speakers and I got the harness free with my radio. it has everything to connect to factory stuff.
