C4 of the Year -- Appearance Modifications
For Corvetteforum’s C4 Corvette of the Year competition we have some big changes in store to make the competition more inclusive and, we hope, more fun for site users.
The changes include opening the contest to site users across the globe, rather than limiting it to residents of the contiguous United States. Further, we’ll break the competition down into four categories:
The reward in each of the categories is bragging rights and a designation under your user ID declaring your winning status.
This thread is for entries of Corvettes with Appearance Modifications.
You can enter just one of the categories of competition and you do so by posting one photo of your C4 in the appropriate thread no later than 11:59 p.m. PDT, July 15. Moderators then will pick ten of their favorites as finalists and set up a poll to allow you to vote on which of those finalists is the C4 Corvette of the Year in each of the above-referenced categories. The judging, of course, is subjective and will be heavily influenced by the quality of the photographs submitted for the entries.
In subsequent months, we’ll feature other generations for Corvette of the Year with the winner in each of those generations competing for Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year.
The fine print: One entry per member. This contest is open to site users over the age of 18 who own the car they enter. Cars which have previously won are not eligible. Entry photos must have been shot by the Corvette's owner except in the track car category where the Corvette has been photographed on the track while the owner was driving it.

Well, let's see. My '95 with different wheels, from a C6 I believe. The brake covers that no one likes, but I do. And on the rear are red Corvette letters on the bumper cover. Oh, and the tinted windows.

1985 Base Coupe Automatic
This is my 1985 Base Coupe Automatic. It has nano carbon tinted windows. The wheels are 1988-1989 "Salad Shooters" that the previous owner painted black. I've owned the car just a little over a year and have added about 10k miles bringing it to 55k on the odometer. It's been down the local Louisville, KY 1/8th mile dragstrip, NCM Motorsports Park, the Corvette Museum a few times and most recent Gatlinburg, TN then Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, NC. It's been shown in various local car shows and has won 2 "Top ###" trophies. Exterior is Light Blue Metallic, the rarest color for 1985, 1021 produced. Has medium blue leather interior and the Bose stereo system.
Thanks for looking,
Joe K

C4 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
This is my 95. I've owned it for 15 years now. Among other thinks I replaced the Dana 36 with a Dana 44 and that did improve the performance a bit ( 3.07 to 3.45 ). BUT as I have removed the spare tire & carrier and replaced them with the delete bar and polished it up .... I decided to have the "new" bat wing power coated. I thought it looks so nice I had to shine up the rest of rear suspension aluminum parts. While I like the appearance of my vette from every angle .. I really like what others see when they see my C4 from "behind"

repainted 87
1987 had 63,500 miles when purchased July 27, 2012 the day I retired from my 50 year job. Car was not loved and was Dark Red so I painted it Shark Grey with Black Halo, Mirrors and Vent lovers. Many used parts came from this wonderful Corvette forum at great prices plus many new parts and now everything works as it should. Now has 68,900 miles and having fun.

Mt 1985 Corvette is also painted C7 Shark Gray. It may be closer to stock so move if necessary. Appearance changes are the paint(previously a silver over charcoal when new) and window tint. Thanks for taking a look at it!
