Just saw another post about removing the rear antenna for the fob. Was curious if someone made a larger one that the signal could be picked up farther from the vehicle? Not sure if c5 or newer is in same location or if they are any better for an upgrade. Sort of like rabbit ear antenna vs a large outdoor antenna.
Probably the one in the drivers door would be more difficult to install a larger one.
Maybe a power booster/amplifier?

It not the antenna it's the transmitter (remote) that determines range.

In a c5 post it was mentioned that adding an additional length of wire to the antenna increased the range. In short wave radio, one can pick up a low powered station with a bigger antenna. I would think that would hold true for the fob and the receiver as well.
