Default Back to the C4

I started on this forum in 2004 and purchased an '85 from a forum member (CMYC4GO) out of Oklahoma City back when I lived in Virginia. I was moving to Arkansas in 2006 so I traded it to my parents for a 2001 Mazda Millenia. Since then, I have owned a 1991 Stroker bought from a forum member (383LPE) which I later sold to another forum member (daK9er) and a 2008 briefly while bouncing around 5 other states all over the country. It has been 10 years since I have owned one and am flying from LAX to Philly tonight to pick up and drive back the '85 from my parents since they don't have room for it anymore. It should be a fun and hopefully uneventful 3k mile drive home.

You gotta be happy to be getting your first vette back. Good luck on your trip - think 'uneventful' and 'relaxing'.

That is awesome. A 3,000 mile trip cross country in a (hopefully reliable) Corvette, sounds glorious.

Well, we made it to California with only the oil temp sensor going out and the wiper switch having a mind of it's own. Failed emissions this morning, though, so I have that fun project to look forward to

Bummer. Mine failed emissions a month and a half after I bought it (I knew it was due for the test but thought it would pass). Annoying to have project work right after you got back into the game, hopefully you're back on the road soon. (And cheaply).

Very cool, enjoy the ride. I would love to buy back my first Corvette, I have no clue where she is at the moment (nor do I have the extra money right now)

I feel fortunate, here in New Jersey cars as old as mine, '93, don't required inspection/emissions testing.

I guess it's even better considering that I'm having drivability issues related to the fuel system (I guess).
