C4 Front Brake Rattle Clip Help
I have had rattling calipers on my corvette since I bought it, I recently bought a new brake hardware kit to remedy it and hopefully replace some missing parts and fix my issue. The kit contained 2 retaining pins and 4 U shaped clips. My car does not have the U shaped clips installed. Where do these go on the calipers? I’ve included a picture of these clips. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

The clips fit over the ends of the pads to press them up into the top of the caliper.
When you install the pads into the caliper it should take some force up on the bottom of the pads to allow you to slide in the retainer pin across the bottoms of the pads.
For the retainer pins you should also use a flat washer in addition to that C-clip.

Thanks for the reply, does anyone happen to have a picture of them installed? All the diagrams I’ve found do not show these clips. And good call on the washers for the C clips, I’ll definitely add them.

5B-1 section of the FSM shows correct assembly. It's sometimes debated location of 'cir-clip' -inboard or outboard. Your pins with 2 grooves will do both standard brakes and also the HD brake options.
If you've no FSM - a good excuse to buy!! There's several previous posts regarding '88+ front pads, calipers etc. Search should work well!!
