Default Battery Tending

A couple of questions. I am new to the world of Corvettes, please bear with me. 1). I don't drive mine as a daily driver, only when the wx is nice, which can lead to a couple of weeks of not driving. I don't have an inside space to park, and must leave it in the drive way. I replaced my battery and haven't had an issue with that , but curious, should I use a battery maintainer to keep a full charge, and can these maintainers be used over the winter months when I put my baby to bed?
2). Is there a way to raise the passanger seat----seems to sit really low ?

I'm a big proponent of battery tending, been using Deltran for over twenty years, wall-mounted four-port for the motorcycles, one for the fun car (which is now the Vette), and they're hooked up over the winter without issue. Not sure about the seat.

If your car is in good working order you shouldn't need one for sitting only 2 weeks. Good for sitting months in the winter though

I have been using Schumaker battery keepers for over 30 years and have an average life of the batteries of 8.9 years. I highly recommend using battery keepers. I use them on the Vette, garden tractor, generator and a spare. Anything that sits for more than a couple of days gets one!

If it's in the driveway, in the sun, put a 5W solar panel on the dash and it'll stay charged and for free, no wires to hook up anywhere.

Even if maybe I don't need my battery tender for a week or two I still always take the 10 seconds to connect it. Dan

When you say the seat seems low, can you clarify how low? Does the seat adjustments work? Remember our C4 seats are below the frame rail by design. It is one of the reasons why many people move on to newer Corvettes. It is also why so many C4s have developed the all too common steering wheel wobble from people using the steering wheel as leverage to get out of the car.

1) Another vote for Deltran battery tender. Been using one on my 95 for the past 6 years love it.

2) You mentioned that the passenger seat sits very low. When you remove the bottom seat cushion are both trapeze straps in place?
