Getting a '86 Corvette in a couple of weeks. Will be my first one. I am exicted and Will need the lower Panel as you can see. Headlight will need some love. Still thinking about paint. I like dark navy blue with gold and black marbling.
looking forward to working on it. I want to keep it as orginal as possible. Any help is grwatly appreciated.
Good for you, bring a car back from the dead!!! Don't worry about paint, I dont!!!
I have an 87' I've thouroughly enjoyed restoring...however she was in a little better shape than what you're getting into but regardless, gratz on the project.
Welcome to the forum and the madness! The forum has a wealth of knowledge. Looks like a good project to keep you busy this winter. How long since its been on the road? Get it home, clean it up and then you can evaluate the paint. Do you do your own paint? The battery cover on the left side is readily available in the used market. You should be able to find the color you need. You need to get the factory service manual for 1986. Consider a thread on progress bringing your C4 back. And don't forget, we like lots of photos. Have fun!
