"Change Oil" light...how to turn off?
I posted this on the tech side...not sure if I should have posted it here or not. Sorry, but I need to know how to turn off the "Change oil" light. Oil only had less than 3,000 since last change...but I went ahead and changed it anyway. Just need to let the "light" know it's done. Thanks :confused:

turn key on
press ENG MET, then within 5 seconds press it again
within 5 seconds press and hold GAUGES on the trip monitor, the CHANGE OIL light should flash,
hold teh GAUGES button until it stops flashing.

I had to do that to my car a while back but I have a stupid ? is it set to go off after exactly 3,000 miles or did they use a different mileage # ? :seeya :flag

There is an oil life monitor that keeps an eye on usgae as well as mileage and other stuff like that. For teh C5, it actually tells you how much life is left in your oil.

How accurate are they anyway? Mine went on a few days ago and its been barely 1000 miles since the last oil change and that was using Mobil 1. The previous oil change was done 3000 miles before that when the light came on shortly after I bought it last summer. :blueangel:
