Default Frisbee pulley delete..update

So, as I was changing my serpentine belt I took off the frisbee disc from the water pump pulley. I only did it because it was definitely in the way. I’d read and watched videos about deleting it. People have said there were some performance gains by getting rid of it etc..
I never would have gone out of my way to pull it just for that. I was doubtful of it. But I also didn’t hesitate while I was doing the belt as I’ve read GM actually admitted it didn’t really end up doing anything and did not need to be there.
so, Im just posting as an update. After driving it a few times since getting rid of it, I keep noticing the car does feel noticeably quicker, snappier..gets out of the hole quicker..acceleration..it’s just faster. Definitely not my imagination. So if you do still have that disc on there..don’t hesitate. Get rid of that thing. It’s the easiest mod I’ve seen.

When I owned my 89 C4, I pulled the frisbee cause what I read I didn't need it, and I also thought I gain in power but don't think so, just my need for speed.
Here what my engine looked like without it.

I read it was installed to help quell some vibrations when the AC compressor would cycle. Never noticed it doing anything on my '89 when it was installed and my AC bracket still fractured too.

Apparently good for about 1mph and dropping 0.1 sec off your 1/4 mile ET from previous research.

The frisbee only weighs 10 pounds, deleting it is not going to do much of anything for performance

I saw that also. Did you screw the bolts back in and have to use washers for spacers ?

I did screw them back in and did not need washers.

Mine didn't weigh anywhere near ten pounds.

The last time I saw that frisbee on my 89' was in the 90's when it was skipping down the driveway and out into the street.
