Default Lightweight? Have you lightened your car?

This came up in a discussion at work today so I figured I'd ask here.

How many of you have gone to serious lengths to lighten your car? What did you do and how light is it now?

First thing I'd do if I was you is get that Stanley Cup off of there, that should be good for about 1/4 second improvement :seeya

Although i still haven't weighed my car yet,
I removed passenger seat(approx 30-40 lbs!) a while back, the complete interior(about 10-15lbs), catalytics and front y-pipe/rear y-pipe(10lb), the complete A/C system(about 10-15lbs), dual mass flywheel(20lbs) and spare tire/jack/cover(35-45lbs). Weld skinnies and fatties go on at the track, that hepls alot too. Fronts weigh like 10 lbs ea. I need to go get weighed. Well, so far, as of that, car ran it's quickest time yet. Next time at track: front sway bar comes off, camber brace comes off(will re-install after last run). I'm looking at a "dyna-bat" battery and an aluminum driver side seat next. Driver could stand to lose about 10lbs tho

Weight savings is difficult. First strip the car of carpet, seats, seat rails, stereo, windshield wipers, headlights, fog lights, AC system, spare tire and jack, get yourself a carbonfiber hood, replace windows with Lexan, and finally make a tube frame for the car and shed some weight there too. Replace seat rails on driver side with aluminum ones, and a racing seat on top of that.

I'm not willing to turn this car into a single purpose racecar. I was able to pull a few pounds out of my old RX7 by removing the stereo, insulation, stock seats, AC and all the misc emissions crap out of the engine bay. The car still looked relatively stock and was about 60 lbs lighter.

The biggest thing I have done was remove the spare tire and carrier. I use Run-Flats. :seeya
