She did, and to be honest, I've had far worse dates. Everyone has feelings and I think some people forget that.

Here's another Corvette dating story. I have a friend that went out on a date, another blind date, with a guy in a Corvette. She knows nothing about cars, much less Corvettes and she told me that she was expecting a C-4 like mine, and was suprised when it turned out to be a C-3.

They stopped at a bar that this guy frequented and parked in front of the window where everyone in the bar could see. As she went to get out of the car, her long blonde hair (down to her butt) got caught in the seat belt retractor. The more she tried to free it, the more the retractor sucked it in. Took them about a half hour to get her hair untangled, as everyone watched from the bar.

ouch........pair of scissors do the trick?.......or did you get lucky and pull and retract pull and retract? No one came out to help? ......Reaffirms my outlook that people suck. Plus I'm a professor of electronics, do the math on that one...... :lol: Needless to say I have people jamming to get into my classes..... :skep: I guess we all have to remember the human side of any equation and we'll all get along.......thanks for the stories..... :D

Yea, I picked up chicks!!! I gave one of my buddies a ride, and when I dropped him off at home, his mother was waiting for her ride!!! :rolleyes:

Had a 63 Split Window Corvette and a 1930 Model "A" Ford. Had a lot more fun in the Ford. The Ford always attracted more attention plus you could remove the back seat. :D

WOW lots of responses to my question! I met my wife on a blind date and picked her up in my 65 vert. One of the things that impressed my about her is that she was NOT impressed with the car. Now 3 Vettes, 4 kids, 8 grandkids later I am glad that I got the right one for me. Now what's cool is riding around with the top down with a grandkid saying; "Watch out! I think that bird is gonna poop on us. Let's go faster!" They always have a big grin on their face. When we stop at an ice cream joint it takes twice as long to get out of the place. Someone always has to tell their stories about Vettes they owned or wanted or knew about etc. It's part of the fun of enjoying America's best sports car! :) :steering: :auto:

When I was 15 years old I wrote a legal contract where I promised the girl I liked would get a ride in my future Vette - she signed the contract :) She later got a ride but I didn't ;)

I'll go along with that. When I bring the vette up to street nights at the track, I always get a couple vette stories from people, either about a vette that is currently in the family or one that was in the family. From how one's dad or uncle has or had a '66. Or how one's mom currently has a '93. Their voices always sound happy when telling stories about a vette in their family. It is also fun hanging out and meeting with other Corvette guys at the track, car shows, and here at Corvetteforum.com The Corvette comrady is the strongest out of any car in the world, that's one of the reasons why we always :seeya to eachother.

i didn't get the vette to get chicks (i didn't need any more help, jk). actually, the first girl i dated after i got the car is my fiancee right now. but the vette does make them wet. if you want a car to hook-up with chicks, get a big van (preferably automatic), gut it out, and throw a mattress back there, although do this only if you still live at home with your parents. :jester
