I am preparing to purchase a 1995 vert, wht w/gry interior, wht top, preferred equipment group #1, pwr passenger seat, and selective ride and handling.

22,000 miles and price of $20,000.

Anything I should know about this year?

Is the agreed upon price in the ballpark?

The price is a little on the high side, but if it is what you want, If I were you I would go for it. Sometimes we have to pay a little more to get exactly what we want. :D

A 95 is a good year and a vert, well :thumbs: go for it, you will love it.

It is what I have been looking for. The wife wanted a convertible and I wanted a 1995/96. We are working out the logistics with the owner right now. He is in Fla and I am in SC. Buying car through PeoplesFirst so have to set-up app. with a Mail Box ect.

On the plus side I do not have to deal with the OBD-II on a 96.

Price is relative to what someone is willing to pay. If that's the car you want and you're happy with the deal then buy it. IMO :auto:

sounds about right. sorta depends which state you're buying the car from and what their demands might be there. offer 18,500 but if ya got the $$$$$$$ to burn , go for it, especially if thats what you really like, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! :party: :cheers: congratulations :D

Sounds like a winner! Do your homework; look on the internet, look in magazines, check around your area. If the car is in perfect shape it may well be worth the money. Fixing up a corvette is not cheap. You can easily stick $2-4k into a neglected C4. Ask for someone in your area on this forum to road test it for you. Be patient and do not let emotions rule. Learn from any source you can find and then make your decision. There are lots of corvettes for sale out there. Maybe this is the one for you! :thumbs:

If the car is really immaculate its worth it. But immaculate means its pretty much like it came off the show room floor. The car should show almost no ware at all. The engine compartment should be spotless and the interior should have almost no ware on the driver's seat bolster. The trim on the dash around the radio should be tight. The console top should be tight and open and close properly. All the weather stripping should be like new.

The top should be near perfect and fit that way. Where the top sits on the car should be clean and not scuffed. Hit a few bumps with the top up, see if it pops up from the lock downs in the back.

If it really is perfect then the price is OK. If it needs attention to any of these thing or if it has chip, dings or a lot of swirls in the paint, deduct from the price.
