Replacing sill pads on on 87
I ordered new sill pads from Ecklers. In order to install these you have to remove the entire sill and bolt these things on. When I removed all the screws that I could see, I still couldn't pull of the part of the sill that attaches near where the driver's shoulder is. Anybody do this before that could give me some advice?
Thanks in advance.

Yes you will have to remove the entire sill to install the pad. BUT in order to take the sill out you will also have to remove the halo panels. In addition to that you will also have to remove the targa top for the halo panels to pop out. Makes you think if it's really worth doing all that work just to replace those pads.

I was able to remove my door sills without pulling the halo panel off. I did this because i didn't have a torx bit for the seatbelt mount. Also, the sills are on there good with some tarry glue. When you get a clear shot at em, just pull hard and steady on them, and the glue will give. Works best on a hot day also.
