Gas Tank Filler Recess
There is the little "hole" in the gas tank filler recess that drains any excess rain water or gasoline. Where does that lead? Is there a hose that drains to the ground? My gas tank filler recess hold standing water after I have washed the car, etc. Can that "hole" be cleaned to drain more quickly?

On mine, it makes two 90 bends and drains on the left sid, underneath the bumper.
Mine was doing the same as yours, and I managed to unclog it by blasting the hose nozzle into it. It seems to be clogged partially, and slow to drain everytime I wash the car, which is about weekly.

If it's clogged, that's a good way to possibly get water in the gas tank. Try getting a garden hose close enough to get water pressure in the hose. I had a copper adapter used for ice maker hook up which was 1/8 copper pipe. That fit into the drain hole and cleared it out. :hurray:
