Wheel cleaner for polished aluminum wheels?
Anyone know of a good wheel cleaner for polished aluminum wheels? I've got some brake dust that is proving to be tough to get off. I can get it clean if I work it with the wheel polish that I have, but it's a lot of elbow grease and it takes a long time. I'm thinking it would be much better to use a good wheel cleaner first, then hit 'em with the polish to clean 'em up nice.

I have polished and painted wheels and use regular old Maguires Gold Class Car Wash. It works for me.
How often do you wash your car? I don't notice much of a build up of brake dust on mine. I wash about every other week and mine is a daily driver.
Mike.

I have a spray bottle of EAGLE ONE mag cleaner, you spray it on (heavy) let it sit for 30 seconds and hose off (DON"T get any on the paint) it's the best i've seen

I had my wheels stripped and polished this spring. I sent an email to Sal Zaino and asked what to treat them with. He told me to use about 5 coats of Z2 and the wheels will stay bright and shiney for a long time. So far he has been right. They still look great.
I clean them with Eagle One all wheel cleaner. Brush them lightly in the crevises, rinse well and then towel dry. They are looking fine.

Thanks for the help!
I have some Simple Green around, so I'll give that a shot (why didn't I think of that  ) If that doesn't cut it, I'll go get some Eagle One.
Thanks again :seeya
