New 96 LT4 396cu in Vette Owner in D/FW
I am excited and look forward to learning more and more about the Corvette. I had a 1995 Z28(which the whole time I owned it wished it was a Corvette) and it had a MTI 396 in it as well. I am glad to see such a resource for those of us learning that we can depend on. I look forward to listening, communicating, and ultimately meeting other Vette owners in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. :hurray:

You may want to hookup with local clubs, Loan Star is very active down your way. Xtreme Corvettes has their local cuise in Plano this weekend, Chucks @ Midway and Parker. Show up and show off your vette!
The Forum is a great on-vette community, but beware, it's almost as addictive as your vette!

I am in Fort Worth, just minutes West of Downtown. I am North of I-30, off of Hulen & Camp Bowie. Would love to meet other local Corvette owners. Thanks, it is easy to see how this forum could be addicting, as currently my efforts should be more focused to work !! :cheers:

Welcome to the Forum. You'll find a great group here and all the info you need. You should check out the NCCC club in FW, Cowtown Vettes. We meet the first Friday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Coors plant on Meacham in Fort Worth. It's a fun club. Everything from autocross to cruises and shows. Come join us. :seeya a few of us hang out at south cooper on friday nights in front of seargents western wear. Usually from about seven till ten. Maybe see ya out there sometime.

I will definately/hopefully be able to make it up to the Coor's Plant the 1st Friday in November to meet some of the locals and learn about the Cowtown Corvette club. Thanks for the advice!! :cheers:

They do build some great engines. It is amazing how I can see a difference in build quality and "run-ability" between the 396 I had back in 1996 in my Z28, to the 396 that was put in my vette back in 2001. :iagree:

Was this the Black one that was for sale in the auto trader ? With Fikse Fm 5,s on it ....if so 500 plus RWHP way to go I was watching the price on that car ..just couldnt free up the money for it ....Also I think the Chucks show starts around 2pm and ends around 6:30 pm ....

Absolutely....that was the one. I had been looking at it since the 1st of September/end of August. It was a joy to drive back up from Austin & how I love the power. The guy that built it did a top-notch job & I am incredibly excited. I am going to leave work a little early on Saturday and head from Fort Worth over to Chucks. I am hoping to be at Chucks by 6 pm or so. I wish that I could make it early, but that is life. I hope to see you there ;)
