'88 35th Anniversary Value...
When I get the money collected, I'd like to repair my A/C, Seats, and Re-Tint the Windows. I figure by the time I get around to selling it, it will have around 80k. As of right now it was just turned over 76k. It has full Alpine and Audiobahn sound, the hood and front bumper have been repainted, and the tires have about 10k on them. I was curious to how much I could get when I sell it. Overall it is in great condition for being 16 years old. Anyone???

You can expect about $1500 more than a regular '88

For some reason, what the books call for and what that particular car sells for are two different amounts.
When my father was looking for one, I found them (this was in Fla.) anywhere from 12000 to 20000.... even found one for 23K.
Dad ended up purchasing a great daily driver (though I put an 8K paintjob on it and another 4K in carpet, seats, door panels) with less than 70K miles for 16K.
Hope that helps...

Assuming your 35th is in rather good condition here are some 2yr old numbers:
-$19-20k == excellent
-$13-14k ==good
Assuming about a 3% drop in value for two years you might subtract $1k from those numbers.
FYI I paid $14k for mine in 2000 with 96k on the clock; but I overpaid for it.
I think the 76k miles will be the biggest deterent to getting a high price for your 35th; but try to find a buyer who "needs one" (like I was).
Good luck.

I agree the '88 is an real eye-catcher, I like the way the wheels match the paint :cool: Plus its a solid year in the L98 line-up :thumbs:
Why are you selling, for some reason I;'m thinking you didn't have it for too long :confused:
