Painting Wheels???
I want to do my 5 star wheels in white(see pic in sig)I have checked into powder coating and the average cost is $125 a wheel. I know the powder coating would be very durable but the cost seems a little much, how do you think paint would hold up if the wheels were prepped to hold paint????

Re: Painting Wheels??? (Brett Richmond)
I've had good luck painting wheels
Pay the money and have them bead blaster, or aircraft strip them then bead blast them.
Then have them Etch Primed, based and cleared.
I do quite a few rims for people on the side. People say I'm the only guy who can get the paint to last, but honestly it's all in the prep.
Wheels are in a very hostile enviroment.
Good Luck!

Theres a guy somewhere on the forum who's been trying to sell a set of white 5 spokes (17x11 and 17x9.5). I think he was asking a real reasonable price too. I can't recall his name though

Re: Painting Wheels??? (TA)
The owner's manual says the CE/GS wheels are painted in the same way as the rest of the car, so If you get it right, and clear coat them, they should be fine!
