:eek:A hundred and eighty bucks? I plan on painting mine also. Auto parts store...Plasti Dip spray rubber coating comes in colors. I think I'll go with BLACK ;) a couple hours spent with the old girl in the garage and she'll be good as new! I HOPE!
Is that from GM?? $28, I didn't think GM would sell me an empty bag for that
Thanks
Contact Chris May at 800-728-8267. I think it was around that price the last I checked.
He is a GREAT guy, but wants to know your name so he can give you credit for this sale - I just discovered the stereo shop broke the trim around my shifter too, up towards the front, so they are paying to replace it !

does this guy have older style radio bezels? a website?
That would be Chris May at Superior Chevrolet in Kansas (I believe). They are a dealership that sells to forum members at just above their cost. You'd have to call him and ask him. Make sure you state you're a forum member for the best price. :yesnod:

To be fair, it was me who bought mine from him last week and posted the picture of it as a parody to the painting trim post. I believe I referenced him and the cost but that's ok, as long as he knows the forum members are still generating business for him. Its funny we are like kids in a candy store. I've posted pictures of new IAC, several folks called him to get IACs, same on the intake duct, same on the console door, the F1-D3s (those not from Chris LOL). If you ever one to sell a Corvette part, post a picture of brand new one.
Its too irresistable to resist. Have a great weekend. :seeya
I just replaced both of mine - $28 for the radio bezel and $110 for the console cover. My tag said GM on it but no shift boot came with it. The cupholder door, hinge and spring assembly were there. I had to move my cigarette lighter, red-leather shift boot and fasteners.
I also took the Bose apart while I was in there and replaced the lamps 'casue I couldn't see what radio station I was on at night drivin' in the dark.
One thing I screwed up and got to fix tomorwo, I forgot to put the light bulb back into the gear indicator. Dang it.

Re: Painted the console (Southern Comfort)
Krylon has a line of plastic paints and primers. I wonder if they would be good on our dash and consoles?
Actually I've used it ..........on glass. And it actually does bond to glass......so it would probably work pretty damn well on our plastic interiors. The Krylon product I believe we're talking about is called Krylon Fusion. And BTW .................to the original poster...........your dash looks very  in the pic. I'd stick with it, but redo whatever mistakes were done to begin with if it doesn't look as good in person as it does in the pic. The shocking nature of it at first glance makes it that much more appealing. You might wanna check out Krylon Fusion in red if you ever redo it. It'll actually bond to the plastic. :lurk:

Re: Painted the console (MaSTeRofDZaSTeR)
Oh and BTW, to add to my last post.............you'll notice if you pick up a can of that Fusion spray paint...........it says you don't need any priming. It's all ready to go. GL. :seeya

I just replaced my radio/heater bezel with a GM part from gmpartsdirect.com. The delivered cost was ~$27. I got a new shifter bezel from an ebay vendor. It's made in China and is almost an exact match -IMHO was a good deal at $110. It did not include the shifter boot.
