Default Vote for the best wax

I have at least 5 different waxes in my garage. I am a sucker for every new product out there. My question is: What is the BEST wax. I presently use Zymol, Maguier's, Mothers, and Turtle wax (on my truck), and 2001 as a nice sealer. ANY response is a good one. What is this Zaino stuff??

I've tried Zaino, Maguires, Zymol, and Turtel wax recently, and none of them does as good of a job as Liquid Glass. Easy to put on and take off, no build-up and lasts a long time...even in the AZ sun. I'm sure I'll continue to try more, but for now that's my choice.

I voted Zaino (Even though it's not a "wax"), BUT, I have to disclaim I've never tried the Maguire's line that a lot of people in here have raved about.. Maybe when my Zaino supply is gone, I'll give it a shot. A lot talk about Liquid Glass too , yet I've never seen it in stores - Is this stuff good??

Liquid Glass will be with your car forever, like Zaino, only thing that will get it off is sandpaper.

Just about anything that Meguiar's puts out is good. :auto:

Meguiars gives an excellent shine but has no "staying power". After 2 weeks, it needs a "booster coat". Their touch up spray is worthless.

Nu Finish gives an excellent shine also but oftentimes leaves swirl marks.

Zaino gives an excellent shine, is easy to use, but the 14 steps (sic) are a PITA.

I have never liked anything put out by Turtle wax.

I like Mothers aluminum products, but never tried their polish/wax.

The 3M Perfect-It III takes some Karate Kid wax-on wax-off effort, but the results are quite spectacular and long lasting. I use the Zaino Z6 as a touch up spray between applications. Now THAT stuff is GOOD!

Default Vote for the best wax

I'm sticking with Zaino.

It shines, protects and lasts a good long while.

I tried the NXT/Meg's. . beautiful shine, but it didn't hold up for me.

:iagree:

I tried a lot of different products, but I finally caved and tried Zaino (thanx to all the rave reviews on the forum :D ) I was amazed at the shine it put on my car... Everyone asked if I had just repainted it. It looks that good. :yesnod:

I used Liquid Glass utill 2 weeks ago, I changed to NXT.

I do not run test comparisons, but NXT is excellent---But so was Liquid Glass.
However, if you ask opinions on a forum like this, people will laugh at you for using LG.
LG is not the "IN" thing to use.
One thread actually said that LG was dated because it pictured a red C2 vert on its can.

I've been hearing good things about NXT, that'll probably what I try next, once I run out of Liquid Glass. As for using the "IN" thing, well I could always care less, I use what I think works...but I'll respect anyones opinion, who in-turn respects mine. :seeya

I never ever had a problem with Turtle Wax, or Mothers

But I noticed that Meguiars gold class goes on and off real easy, and is pretty smooth. But for some reason I'd never really heard anything good about Meguiars but the guys on here seem to almost swear by it

Are there any less-known waxes that work exceptionally well?

I just tried NXT & booster wax two weeks ago and love the results. Of course I also clayed it before the applications.

The Vette has been gathering pollen for a day of so (the pressure rinse worked very well two days ago) and is scheduled to get some rain tomorrow so I'll know a little more in a few days.

Been using Meguair's for a long time. It works well. I think today you can't go wrong with any that use. If you like it go with it.

I have the NXT on the daily cars and still have Gold left so I put it on the Corvette, and it looks great. Both are easy on and off easy to get.

I don't leave any of the products in the garage in the summer or winter, I've had problems with them in the past.

I use the 3 step Meguair's Wax. Its takes about 5 hours for all 3 steps but the finished result is amazing. I use Meguair's Quick detail as a replacement to washing the car because it works so good.
