Our C4's are back in style!
On the freeway I ran into a new C6, and my friend pointed out that they "look like yours from the back... and the rear hatch area looks alike too!" then he pointed out how much cooler the c6 was then the c5.
This got me thinking; Vette's tend to skip a generation in style - allow me to explain - I used to think C4s looked like *** when C5's just came out, and C3's were the classic vette to have...
Now that the new ones are out, C5's are going to be the "old ones" while the C4's are going to be the more "classic" ones; C3's are going to become more like the C2 - ones that arn't around to even judge...
I already noticed how there are harldy any more C3's on the road.
Anyone agree? Is this just wishful thinking? I really do think that the C6 resembles a C4 more then any other generation with it's sharp corners and whatnot. As the new ones become more common place, I'm pretty sure this will ring true.
Then I'll be driving a "classy" vette not an "outdated" vette The C5ers will inherit that title, woohoo!

I have to disagree with you that the C6 resembles the C4 .
Of course this IMHO

I somewhat agree, since the c5 and c6 favor so much yet the c6 in most peoples OP's looks way better that leaves teh c5 in the dust. People buy c1-c4's bc they love the way they look compared to the other ones bc they're miles apart from each other. The c5 and c6 aren't like that so why buy a c5?
I think the c6 looking like the c5 so much yet better will really hurt the c5 in the future and it won't be well thought of.

Since I've owned a 62, 64, 87-missed the C3s although I tried, just couldn't handle looking over the high rise fender (just me) cause I do think the C3s look classy, anyway I personally think there have been NO body styles to compare with the C4s-In my mind (what's left of it) it is the most stylish looking vette ever, vert or coupe.

They're all Vettes, what's not to like??? I was glad to see the round tail lites come back though...That way the other cars know what they've been dusted by....

If its a vette, its all good. I can appreciate a good clean one no matter what year. I loved the body lines and interior LOOK of my 73 "ray. Worst driving and most cramped car I had. Love the lines and how the front end slopes down to a point on my 89. Interior is liveable, But much more comfortable. The later C4's are by far the meanest and classiest looking, especially ZR1, but wouldn't want to $ maintain one. C5's-LS1 power! and the same type of gauges and control ***** as my silverado.Hmmm The C6's will never grow on me, no matter how powerful the are. Can't win em all...I'm just happy to have one period!! Save the wave

If someone told me my C4 looks like the C6, they would be exited out the door. The General has all this engineering performance and drops it in a package I will never have titled in my name. Too bad you can't buy the C6 w/o the body and have another installed. I do like the gauges though, just really unimpressed on styling.

I don't really see the C6/C4 resemblence but I'll think about it whenever I see a C6 now.
Maybe someone will come with a flip-up headlight retro package for the C6, much like they have the fixed headlight packages for the c4s & C5s.
In fact I'll bet a front end package (i.e. nose, headlights, etc) would sell.

I like them all, but the c5's rear needed work. The C6 looks like they got that part correct. I just dont like the front grill, it screams of mid 80's Camero Z28, its been done. IMHO
