new yellow coolant
Ok so it was made to mic with all coolant types/colors but is it any better than the green as far as corrosion goes etc?
I still think if you can find the green stick with it because even though it says safe with all coolants I don't think I would want to risk it because it will always be in the system even with a good flush.
anyone tried it yet?
just something I've been seeing on tv and at wal-mart and was curious.

Bought 2 gallons of the green stuff at costco which is not close to where I live. Used some to top off other cars before flushing the vette. Ended up not having enough, so I went to Bi-Mart which is close to where I live. They had the yellow all purpose stuff that you're talking about so that's what I got. It was the same brand as the green stuff so I didn't think there'd be any issues. Checked the coolant the other day and it's clean as a whistle. I myself always thought it was stupid to create engines that needed special coolant, or to make coolant that wasn't compatible with other coolant in the first place. The outcome had to be predictable.

I've been using it now for a while. I have a decent sized leak above the intake manifold, passenger's side towards the rear, and I go through coolant quickly. I've been using it, and while I was having aweful problems before, they've gotten better using the new stuff.
