Will the LS1 fit in the C4? Anyone completed this swap?

I've seen BBC in C4's so if a BBC will fit in a C4 the LS1 should fit just fine.... now how much of the rest of the drive line will need modification I don't know... If it bolts straight up to the tranny then it should almost be a weekend project..that of course is excluding the differences in the wiring harness.....blah blah blah..

GM sells a "universal" wire harness for the LS1. That way you can install this engine into anything it'll fit into. I started to look into this awhile ago - an LS6 crate motor $7700.00. If this was done on a c4, you could lose about 100 lbs (or so) in the front end.

I decided if I was to go that far, I'd put the money towards a c5/ZO6. However, if I wasn't in Cali, I'd be looking into the 576ci BBC, that would be the setup!!

yes, it will fit.

no the ZF6 won't mate up.

yes, the T56 will, but it requires custom brackets.
