New Door Weatherstrips
I got my new door weatherstrips today I was wondering what is the best way to prepare the door? There is some dry adhesive that will need to be removed and just a general cleaning of the seal area. Shed some light on this for me. Thanks

I just cleaned mine with mineral spirits let it dry and plugged them in.They do look cool compared to the old pieces of crap-unfortunately I got mine from GM-thinking OEM, when they arrived they said made in China-urrrrrrrrr! the only OEM gasket I'll ever buy again is the windshield-the rest are to pricy-and probably aren't any better than the after market ones.

As I recall, those are push pin weatherstrips. No adhesive is needed. I am certain no adhesive was on mine when I changed them. But then again, I am getting older...........
Just clean the door up and push in the pins as you go.
