Look up 89x2 or Surf N Sun, they know their Callaways.

"It has some minor scratches on the right rear quarter panel. It is completely cosmetic work (please view pics to see extent of damage). "
That looks like just a little more than 'minor scratches'. First transaction for this seller also. If I couldn't go see it in person, I don't think I could bring myself to bid on it.

Honestly I am not interested in buying it.....just never seen a Callaway on EBAY...but was, like you guys, concerned about how he thought it was a perfect car but is in pretty bad shape.

careful what you say
MY ebay Vette was the best deal I found- and I have enjoyed the hell out of it for the past 8 months.
You must know what your looking at, whether you view it in person or not.
You have all demonstrated this by just a quick glance at this vette.

My vert is an e-bay prize also...
But it is a gamble.

It's close enough I could go look at it. No way it goes for $21000, it is a Callaway B2K and a vert. Doesn't have the Dymags but WTH.
The best place to find out how it really ranks (among Callaways) is to go the Callaway forum on CAC. Or if anyone really is interested, IM *89x2*. He could take a peek at it for you (maybe) and there is no better expert on the value.

I would like to know who hit that back corner like that. Is that person still alive? Is it an X-wife? Damage like that is almost enough to kill a wife.

The B2K option was Chevrolet warranted. Callaway built their own Corvette to campaign at Lemans, the C7R. It has a wing. He built only a few Speedsters, inlcuding one for his wife. The Speedsters are Oh-My-God beautiful.
The engine block is overbuilt beyond racing specs, but an L98 with twin turbos.
Four callaways were sold at the winter Barret-Jackson auction, including the Sledgehammer that still holds the top speed for a production car. 254 MPH on a closed course in Ohio. Driven to the track from Connecticut, and driven back after the speed run. The Sledgehammer is a B2K car with special aerodynamics and an even stronger TT L98.
One guy bought all 4 Callaways at BJ.
The downside is, if you buy a low miles Callaway you wouldn't dare drive it much. You'd be burning cubic dollars per mile you run up. If you can afford more than one Corvette, your keeper should be a Callaway.

I know the Callaway I want, but I don't have the money or the heart to ask to buy it. It was our very own Dave Ramsden who owned the most perfect car I have ever seen, a '95 Callaway Supernatural 450 with the Aerobody on it. Sadly he died in a motorcycle accident two years ago.
