Does the rest of the country.....
get all these idiots in car pursuits?
Every day in CA some dumb azz fails to yield to a traffic stop
by the police only to surrender an hour or two later, and add
a ten year sentence to a crime they already committed.
What's up with that?

I really don't hear about those incidents here in SE NY/NE NJ, though they may happen. The only time I hear about such is on Cops on TV which I don't watch as it's hard to watch stupid people do dumb things.
Obviously those people are not driving Vettes...who would risk their Corvette!

Since you bring it up, my least favorite chase involved a stolen (and I believe classic) Nissan Z. the chase was only about the theft of the car. The cops eventually rammed it to bag the thief, and the car got destroyed. Now tell me how that serviced the needs of the vehicle's rightful owner. I'm no cop, but if I worked on that force, there is no way I would want that tape ever viewed on TV.

We rarely have that here in Northern California. When we do crank is involved.
