B&B catback pictures as promised
I finished installing my B&B catback today and I salute the guy that installed his in 1 hour.
It took me about 6 hours including a trip to the store for an exhaust pipe expander. The female openings where not quite big enough. Also, the clamps supplied where not quite strong enough to make a good couple. I broke one before the joint was secure. After a few hundred miles and all the adjusting is done, I'll weld the system up. Another note about these B&Bs, the mufflers are so highly polished and the tips are huge, but the pipe coming out of the muffler that connects to the pipes running back to the resonator are not polished at all. The pipes that they connect to are polished. Strange. The sound is much lower (deeper) than my stock catback with elims. The pictures didn't come out as good as I hoped, but they will give you an idea.
This are the clamps they supply.
Over all, I like the system. It's bigger than the stock system and the smallest diameter is in the resonator, maybe down to 2 1/2", but for my mostly stock LT1, it will let it exhale much easier.

Looks beautiful...but how is the sound inside the cockpit? I heard B&B were notorious for VERY bad resonance? I'd consider it if that wasn't a problem.

those look fantastic.wish i coulda swung the extra dough for those over the magnaflows i got.....
and the underside of your car is clean as heck.
very nice.
i really like the rectangular tips over the round ones.they just seem more correct for the later c4s.for the earlier ones the round would better match the tailights imo.
good job

VERY nice!! I like those tips as well!!!
Those clamps look like the type that came with the Corsa's , too.. I'm not too fond of the seal they make, either, and may end up welding mine.

Man that looks sweet! I can't wait to hear them. The underside of your car looks cleaner than my topside!
Tom, weld where you must but NAPA has very nice SS band clamps available. They are much wider than those you showed us and form precisely upon final tightening. I got 2 3/4" and 3" for the recent work I did hooking the headers to the LT4 system I'm using and for the 3" cats I'm adding soon in place of the resonator.

I made a video/sound clip of my exhaust note with the elims and with the B&Bs for comparison for you guys, but I can't figure out how to get it to you. You can really hear the difference. I have the clips on my computer, now I have to find a way to transfer it to the forum.
Oh, one other minor thing about these S/S catbacks, they are heavier than the OEMs by maybe 10-15 pounds. So, go on a diet and lose the added weight is my answer.
You know, I didn't notice the ovals do match the tail lights.
