A '96 without cd-player?
I saw a '96 (LT-4) with a cd-player
According to the seller an original.
The carfax only mentions a radio-cassette.
Are there '96 Vettes without a cd-player?
Or is it that standard that it wasn't worth mentioning?

Carfax dosen't know squat about what a particular car was optioned with.
Of the 21,536 1996 Vettes produced, 17,037 have the optional CD Delco stereo.

there were 3 audio systems available in 1996:
1) Base Delco, cassette radio, 4 speakers.
2) Delco Bose, cassette radio, 6 speakers.
3) Delco Bose, CD, cassette radio, 6 speakers.
The Bose part, the speakers, were the same with both Bose systems. If you have #2, all you need is #3's head unit to make it happen.

I don't know my code, but I have the original Delco/Bose Casette in mine...just can't seem to let go of the "factory look" in favor of a *much* better sounding aftermarket headunit, speakers, and amp.

jk,i like the bose sound well enough to leave it stock for now.if it ever goes wacky i will toss it for more modern aproach.
