Thank you very much! I agree that it looks like a proper C4 now. I know a lot of people like the rear spoiler on a C4, but honestly it's just not my particular taste.
A good find, wonderful that you are doing it with your family. Looks like you are going to have to but another for your sweet 16, the younger son and the two kiddo's look like they like the Corvette also. Now if you could find an ultra clean automatic artic white convertible for the boss you would be set, she can leave the mini-van home and go cruising with your son's vette. I guest the day when you have to give it over you will miss it. Personally I like my Atari Dash the best but the wrap around of the 1/2 LCD and analog dial gauges look awesome in the night as well. I also prefer the 84' to 91' concave or is it convex rear bumper for the vortex engineered affect. Congrats and like you said the clean lines minus the rear spoiler wing looks amazing. The only time these really shine is in a full body Greenwood kit then they look like a purposeful package not just slapping a wing on the back and making it look *** heavy. Keep going soon you will have a very nice car, be blessed.

I do love the Atari style dash and styling on my 84 as well. Something to be said for the early cars. The 84 also feels tighter in the handling department and it has a great feel on the road. It was my first and I'll hang onto thay car forever.
Funny that you mention buying the wide her own white C4. I stopped and looked at one with her the other day. Looked like a former salvage car but i loved the white over red. I may try and get ahold of the owner. Its at a small lot here in town.
That looks like a bunch of work but a great project for your daughter,
lol get the wife a white convertible,
her and her friend can go cruising top down.
I got one just so I can take the wife out under the stars. A low mileage Canadian 87' Z52 with White Body/White Top and a medium blue interior.
That's actually a great idea! My wife would definitely like to have a convertible. I think white over blue is a great color combo! Sounds like you found a great car!
I spent some time in the 93 this weekend and drove it to my in-laws house for my son's birthday party. It was nice to take the top off and spend some much needed time behind the wheel. Tool a fee pictures and wanted to post them, as I haven't updated this thread in some time. The car is far from perfect but the more I work on it, the better it gets.
Its been awhile so I figured I would just update the thread. Got the car out today and took it for a drive. It ran very well and was great to drive! My youngest daughter even wanted to play in the car. Who am I to say no? Glad the weather is as nice as it is and am glad to be able to be here and be able to keep this beautiful car going!
I've been driving this car quite a bit and wanted to share a cou picturs. Any chance the weather cooperates, I'm in it. I failed to enjoy the car as much as I could have before my kidney transplant and being near the end really put things into perspective in many ways. The car still needs some work, but for now I'll enjoy it every chance I get!
I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the pictures from last summer. Seems I'm missing at least one page from this thread. I was sure I posted a bunch over last summer. I will add these, which are the ones that I was sure I posted.
My son Max and I got a good start at replacing the gas tank on the 93. It was in awful shape as a previous owner used sheet metal screws to secure the sending unit and fuel pump to the tank. It was leaking and I could smell gas when I parked. I bought a new tank and sending unit and we spent about 3 hours getting it apart. I allowed Max to do all of the work he wanted. We split the job in half. I disassembled my side and he did his and I stepped in only when he got stuck. The tank is out and tomorrow I will clean the rear frame extension and install the tank onto the frame extension and get it back in the car. Max said he had a lot of fun and said he learned a lot. To be honest, despite the garage being a wreck now, I had a great time working with him and teaching him. The original build sheet didn't make it. Luckily I got one from the NCM when I purchased my window sticker:
Yesterday Max and I finished the fuel tank job on the 93. I didn't take as many pictures because we were rolling pretty good. It went together pretty well. I had to adjust the arm quite a bit on the new fuel level sender to get it to read properly. It kind of stinks that has to be done, especially on a brand new AC Delco unit. But it seems to be reading properly and that's what matters. We took the car for a drive afterwards amd it ran and drove great. No more fuel leaks from the tank and no more fuel smell in the garage when its parked. Here are a few pictures from yesterday:
It was a lot of work. It was nice having my son as a helper and being able to teach him really made the job more enjoyable. But overall, it was a lot of work and having a fuel tank that doesn't leak was definitely well worth the effort. The best part was that I was able to bond with my son and make memories for the both of us.
