This project is starting a big change.
I am starting to build a new engine and the goal is to build an engine that can handle torque and boost well.
I started by buying a good block that should handle over 1000hp.
I ended up buying a Dart SHB 350 main 31161211L block with a 4.125" bore, 1 pc rear.
The engine will be 400ci
I found the oil pan from a member here and cleaned it of the old paint and yellow passivated it to original.
It's a Canton Road Race 15-240T pan
For the rotating assembly I chose Ohio Crankshaft forged products I wanted to make sure everything was of high quality and could handle a lot of torque and power.
Crankshaft forged 4340 350x 3.750 1 pc
Connecting rods Extreme Duty I-beam 6.000" E6000 with ARP 2000 bolts
10314 Diamond Pistons
Total Seal CS9011-5 piston rings
Kings CR807HPN MB557HP bearings
For the heads I chose AFR 220cc 1066 Race which has enough flow for me.
Combustion Chamber 75cc, Angle Plug, 2.100 Intake 1.600 Exhaust Valves and with hydraulic roller and Titanium retainers.
Next I'll figure out what camshaft and lifters to get next.
Probably Jones cam and XLR lifters from him but we'll see where I end up...
