I might be needing to rebuild my 4L60E tranny. Looking for someone who knows how to do it and would give me a good deal (I could help - to an extent - if need be). Contacts are fine as well. Plano, Texas. Anything around Dallas or North Dallas would be ok. I don't like the prices that I've heard from places around town.

Curtis, I don't know how much different it would be in price than my 700R4 from my 85, but I got mine rebuilt from a place in Arlington for $850. That included labor to pull it out and also a flywheel and torque converter. The tranny was still going strong after about 50 1/4 mile passes and two years of daily driving/abuse. Then the lightning hit... well you know the rest! Anyway, let me know if you want to call these guys and I'll look up the number.

Hey Craig, I would sure like the number, my tranny's almost out and may just get it rebuilt even though it was working okay before, just leaking.
