Default F/S FHA (Z51) Front Spring ##SOLD##

This is off a late model C4 & is in excellent condition. It's used in many late C4 Vettes of various years. Asking $150 shipped to CONUS. Outside CONUS you pay shipping.

Prefer PMO (Postal Money Order - not the same as a money order from your local bank or Credit Union) or PayPal. Add $7.50 for PayPal. Other payment is ok, but will need to delay shipping until your funds are clear.

I ship fast & pack well - see my other F/S's.

Please don't ask if this will work on such a year, etc. Do your homework or ask your local tech.

Many springs with many 3 letter codes were used on the various suspension packages of the C4 model years.

Thanks for your interest in my F/S.

Hi,
Is this a stock GM Z51 spring? How old is it and how many miles? Now for the stupid question-what does FHA mean?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes Steve, stock GM Z51.

It's from a late model C4, low miles but I cannot be sure exactly how many.

3 letter code that all GM C4 springs had. Indicates spring rate & which model years it was designed for.

Is it the stiffer spring from the ZO7 in 1992?
There was no Z51 title in 1992, thats why I am asking?
I dont remember the FHA code, and am not in hawaii to check my FSM.

Hi Steve, it may be 91 instead of 92. I have a printout from the GM parts microfiche cd that shows FHA for a 91 (Y07 FE1) and also 91 (Y07 L98 FE7 FX3)

Apparently GM often used the same spring in different years and with different suspension packages.

My Vette pals have always referred to the FHA spring as a Z51 package spring on a 1996. This for SCCA rules purposes.

Hope this helps & I am definately not an "expert" on C4 springs. This is a nice one, looking like low miles from the condition. I have had it in my garage supported on a rack on the wall as a spare for my 1996 & have now sold the 1996.

I am definitely interested. I just found the Excel spreadsheet and Word doc explaining the codes etc. If you give me your email, via pm I can send you the stuff I got from someone on the forum here.
I am currently up in Washington state, but will be leaving back to Hawaii next week early.
I shipped 2 zo6 2003 springs from Hawaii, and even though light, the size is what kills shipping.
Can you give me an idea of shipping to Mililani , Oahu HI 96789?
I am interested but need to ask the Admiral, who is currently battleing the weather with no power in Oahu

Will bring the spring to Fedex & get a price, but it'll take a few days, busy with work right now.

I used the FEDEX online estimator. for a package 6"x10"x45" at 15 lbs boxed to your zip 96789 and it's about $50.

This is an "estimate" probably figure +/- 10 bucks.
