Wanted: BBS Race Wheels
#21
The guy you may want to talk to is Thatcher Schultz at Independent Wheel. He deals in those. IF he can't help you; Woodward Tire (just google it) usually has enough parts to piece a set together.
Good luck;
87 vette 81 big girl: If those are Multipiece BBS in 15" I could use them for a 5series I am putting together. Let me know!

No they are 1- piece BBS 15" inch wheels on that 87 BMW V12 sedan.
Not super cool & desirable like those 3- piece BBS racing wheels with the gold centers.
15", 16", & 17" street performance tires are disappearing fast.
No tire manufactures want to keep making them for much longer it seems.
Hope you had a good 4th of July weekend as I did with my family.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was able to quickly find contact information on Independent Wheel, and will phone Thatcher tomorrow. I did not have as good luck with "Woodward Tire", finding locations in Indiana, Oklahoma, and a couple other states. Did you have a particular one in mind that you are recommending, and do you have a telephone number for them?
I appreciate the assistance.

Renewing our search for a set of used BBS 3-piece, 20-bolt racing wheels. (NOT the LM model street wheel.)
Hoping to find some combination of 11" or 12" widths, in 16" or 17" diameters.
Thanks,
Ed

We are not opposed to purchasing a couple of pair from different parties on the Forum here, so please let us know what you have available.
Thanks,
Ed

I realize your looking for BBS Wheels, but if you want a great set of Jongbloed wheels let me know. 16x11 if not mistaken, basically the same rims you would have seen on a 80s-90s SCCA Trans Am car or IMSA GTO/GTU car.....

Interesting . . . . .
Ajay,
Thank you for the offer of the Jongbloeds - I am sending you a PM, so we can discuss further "off-line".
-------------------------------------------------
To ALL:
There are several (many!) reasons we are searching for these BBS race wheels right now, but one of the most important is that they are currently available - if we bend one, we COULD have replacement parts from BBS America in just a couple of days. In fact, someone who has a set or two of these may already have a few outers and inners as "spares". Better yet!

Ajay, are you still there?
Not nice to tease someone with the promise of Jongbloeds, and then disappear!
I tried posting here, and a PM to you. Let's see, what else --- oh, maybe eMail?

Ajay,
Thanks for the call yesterday. It was very pleasurable speaking with you, and hearing about those race wheels. Someone with smaller brakes will be be getting a very nice set of "shoes" for their racer.
Regards,
Ed

Thanks!
Thank you again, Brian!
Like you, we firmly believe there are several sets of these out there, probably just collecting dust because of the 16" or 17" diameters.

Hello Erik,
Thank you for resurrecting this thread. Those are some nice looking track wheels! We have sent you an eMail with a few questions. AND I forgot to ask -- Where are you located?

From the photo you posted, you have a beautiful pair of wheels there. We have used BBS RS-model wheels before, and they are excellent for the track. Unfortunately for us, the ones you have are too narrow for our application. If you have not already done so, you might try posting these in the C4 Classified For Sale section of the forum. That width is far more commonly found on road cars.
Best of luck with selling them,
Ed

How funny, after a year of absence, I came back on and saw this listing and thought....Hey, I wonder if this Gent may want a set of Jongbloeds instead...then realized, I already offer them. Haha....hope you do find those BBS Wheels, looks like one of the members had what you needed.

I live in Ottawa Canada, but wheels are at Rotiform in Westminster California. I got some spare 3" outers to make a set of 11s and 12s as long as you can work these offsets. all 4 wheels have 7 3/4" back spacing

Let us carry forward our discussion via eMails if you do not object. We are busy with the SCCA National here this weekend, so please give us a few days to take a couple of measurements.
Best regards,
Ed
