Canton 15-24XX oil pan, pick-up, and Melling oil pump F/S
Hey guys/gals,
I forgot that I even had this thing laying around. I bought it new for my 84 when it still had the x-fire motor in it (10+ years ago). I'm not sure which part number i ordered, but I'm pretty sure I would have ordered the 15-240M R/R pan (SBC w/2 piece mains). I don't know if it fits the one piece mains or not. I'll see if I can find the Melling part number on the pump along with the canton number when I get home.
The pan and pump were only on the car for ~500 miles before I pulled it out and put the LS1 in. Needless to say, the poor thing is just dying for someone to give it the tender love and beating it deserves . I'm asking $250 shipped.
Thanks,
Scott

lemme see....15-240 RR (road race)I have the same set up on mine, it is in fact a road race pan, wings and everything . BTW one of the best upgrades along with rods, mains, hvhp pump, turns 5 quarts into 7 quarts, no ground clearance issues

Sorry folks, I didn't make it home over the weekend and was unable to snap pics. I'll see if I can get my g/f to swing by and take some pics of it for me today. The oil pump is the Melling M55HV pump. Gale Banks 80', the pan is gold iridited steel from what I recall and like oldalaskaman said, it def ups the oil capacity to 7 quarts with no ground clearance issues.

Sorry for how long it took guys/gals.... but the pics are up. I didn't get to do more than just wipe the pan down and take the baffle/windage tray off to clean.

Oh, and I just realized I didn't get a picture of the bottom of the pan. There are no dents or cracks. I prefer paypal bank transfers for those who may be interested (protect you and me in the transaction). I would also be willing to meet anyone within ~50 miles of Louisville KY.

Bob, or Scott,
Assuming this will bolt right onto the bottom of an LT1, do either of you know about clearance WITH LONG TUBE HEADERS? We would love the additional capacity, and lower depth for less cavitation, IF it can be made to work.
Thanks,
Ed

I had Hooker long tubes (2149 or 2151's) on my car with the pan. I didn't have any issues. This pan is for a two piece rear main motor. Isn't the LT a one piece?

Thanks
Gentlemen,
As usual, "the Devil is in the details". Thank you for the clarification on fittment. Regrettably, we will have to pass this up because our motor is the LT1.
This will be a very nice find for someone with an L98!
