Default FS-Dana 36 carrier w/ 3.73 Yukon gears

I had this carrier built about a year ago with new Yukon 3.73 ring and pinion, new bearings and seals, etc. Found it to be more gear than I needed and have dropped down to a 3.54 set in another carrier. I ran it about a dozen times at the 1/8 mile and only put about 3000 miles on it driving.
The gears are in excellent condition although there is a slight drone at about 65 mph. A local rear end builder looked at it and saw no damage but suggested the pinion gear be re-set to eliminate the noise. The price for the entire carrier (less bat wing, although available if you need one) is $500 including shipping to lower 48. Pictures available on request.

Steve

Sure. My 89 is an automatic. I think the 3.73 gear would be better applied with a stick shift car. I went to the 3.54 to save a little gas but still keep the performance level out of the hole. I like to experiment a bit and this is the third rear gear change for me. I started with the base 2.59 and went to 3.07, and then to 3.73.
