There's no flaking, but there is a haziness that seems to be under the glass.

the 2 ***** joints on the mounting portion.. many of these get loose then you hit a bump in the car and the mirror moves out of how you want it adjusted

Those are good. I actually have that problem with the replacement mirror, but never had an issue with the old one.
