my backup light don't come on when I put the car in reverse I'm using a short shifter and answers to why?
I did jump out the plug and lights do work.

There is a switch for the reverse lights that is a common problem on zf 6 speeds. The shifter has no bearing on whether or not the lights function. You need a new switch. Its on the driver side near the front of the transmission up close to the top. Good luck, George
