not trying to nix any for-sale transactions, but let me help you out here - the 84-85 cats have a dual, 4-bolt flange - inlet and exit. starting in 86 (thru 91), the cat went to a 3 inch inlet collector and a 2-bolt exit flange. apples and oranges, so to answer your question, it will not work on an 87 without changing the front and rear y-pipes.
