Looking for an unlocked Hypertech Power Programmer for 96 LT4 (30027 or 365652). Take my money.

OP - I've got a 365752 for an OBD2 GM LT1/LT4 - I've no idea how to tell if it's VIN locked or not and Hypertech is "shut" for the day. I have the booklet and this part# might have been intended for F and B bodies but I doubt that it's anything more than a circuit board form Hypertech to alter the application. The instructions mention Corvette, the application part# doesn't so I'm guessing the generally available options (shift points, fan temps etc might be maybe configured for them). I recalled seeing your thread and thought I'd see if you had any interest. If you do I thought I'd maybe give you the first opportunity for a conversation. In the booklet it doesn't mention VIN lock so I've no idea.It mentions also '94 & '95 so I'm thinking maybe the service board from them might dictate a more specific application.
You can use the email link that's available from doing a "mouse over" on my user ID.
I'm interested in just a conversation presently - anyone else that's interested drop me an email also. This isn't a "FOR SALE THREAD" just looking to find out what I've got and maybe checking interest.
If I were to offer it I might prefer a sale to someone local to me so we could see together what I've got. If you're in NOVA or within maybe a 40 mile drive of 25414 - mention that when you email.

You let me know if you're going to call and it will save me some time. I've a few appointments I need to deal with.
I see where the booklet mentions that it only requires a "back to stock" on the car using the PPP and then it could be used on another car. I've no idea. I'll ask Hypertech when I call maybe what's involved if it is locked.
This document #895 is what's packaged with this unit. Mine is dated 1996 and this link is dated 2006 - there's minor differences.

Email to Hypertech...
Hey Guys,
I understand these are discontinued, but can I still get a VIN lock reset on a 365752 power programmer? Also, I'm seeing conflicting information for this model. Would you mind confirming the 365752 supports 96 Corvette LT4?
Thank you!
Mike
Mike,
We are not able to reset/update these units; if it was unlocked it may or may not work on a 1996 Corvette; we had many versions of this part#; the only way to know would be to connect it to the vehicle and let it read the computer.

If it's "CLEAN" with no VIN lock what were you interested in paying?

I see you appear to have a decent history here on these forums. Have you reached out to see if anyone with an LT4 is close to you and willing to help test it?
I offered cash for one recently. Drove 2 hours to get it, plugged it in, it said my car wasn't supported. LT1s only for that unit.

Burning Brakes
I've got $150 in it, I'll let it go for $100, shipping included. Lemme know, or I'll post it to FB or ebay.

If you're still interested I have an unlocked 30027. Matter of fact, it was locked when I got it and Goldcylon gave me a reference to a guy in Texas that unlocked it. I used it on a '96 LT4, mainly for resetting the rear tire sizes while I was playing with wheel/tire combinations. The only thing I noticed was a little better gas mileage (it was my work car, lots of Interstate driving) and perhaps a little better pull at 3500 RPM and up.
