Could be. I bought it used roughly 10 or 11 years ago from a Corvette parts retailer and I took the information I was given. I ran it in my car with no issues and I had an 85 so...it’s been sitting in my garage for years... I will guarantee it works great. Return if not with full refund.

I think it’s going to fit your car, but please do your research first! No problem there!
You can call Tom at Carolina clutch in South Carolina. He was my go to guy for questions on C4 clutch related issues and questions.
He set me up with a special FW for a 2 piece rear main to put in front of this tranny along with the right TO bearing. I had no problems.

Agreed...Research says it’s out of a 94 car.
I’ll measure the guide tube for verification if someone is interested. That would require purchasing a micrometer. Willing to do so and post pics! No worries!

You only need a very inexpensive vernier caliper. Very often sold for $10 - $12 for a 'digital' and actually Harbor Freight has one for $3.00 but not 'digital'. Their 'digital' is more expensive than most. I don't often shop there and I've seen neither but a vernier of some sort is a nice to have device.

funny you say that! Interesting indeed! I went to Auto Zone to buy the instrument and the kid showing me the device said “ go to harbor freight “ and the probably have the same thing for half the price, so I naturally stopped my pursuit of purchasing but did not have time to go to the nearest Harbor Freight as I was on a lunch period. I may just buy the micrometer at Auto Zone for $12 which is exactly the price listed. Have a feeling I will never need it again, but who knows? I will do what it takes since the ZF is better served banging gears for someone rather than sitting in my garage taking space!

I just want to say that I had a great experience buying the new TPIS headers that this seller (Lou, 856SPEED) also had for sale here on the forum. These were a big ticket item, and Paypal was not an option. I sent Lou a check which he deposited, and after it cleared he sent the headers right away. It was a very smooth transaction... Lou did exactly what he said he would and let me know via text each step of the way. I would absolutely not hesitate to buy this transmission or anything else from Lou. Members like him are the reason I love this forum!

The transmission seems to be bit more challenging! It's so heavy, I am not sure if it can be shipped.
