Default Figured out why car is hesitating

Well guys last night I start looking around the engine to see if I can find some kind of vacuum leak or anything that could be causing the
hesitation at idle and I see that the spark plug boot closest to the driver on the drivers side of course is basically making contact with the header and I see a small spark coming form there . W hat should I do next ? Should I remove boot and replace with new wire or can I just maneuver the boot so it won't make contact with header . I have had the Taylor 8mm wires on for a few years just like the headers with no problems . Any advice .

P.S. didnt try moving boot last night as the headers were to hot as I was warming the car up , and it was late when I found the problem .

Wires are in great condition . Don't know how the one touching the header is yet till I check after work , but it would suck to have to buy 8 wires just to replace one .

whatever your final solution, make sure you use plenty of dielectric grease inside the boot, especially if you have headers, ouch, hot!!

Its touching because the goofy design shape of the boots on those Taylor Spiro's. They're too bulky. They need to be more rounded and more compact, not with the squarish shape and the ridges like they have. I had a similar problem with Taylors and ditched them for a different brand.

Thanks Mike , just got off the phone with Chris from East Coast Supercharging who actually did the Header install and wires originally and he advised me to change the wire . So now I need to buy another set of Taylor 8mm wires . He said he'll put it on for me .

i eliminated the heat problem entirely by getting a set of Taylor boot socks, wrapping the boots themselves with heat tape on all 8. In addition, I'm going with Accel "shorty" header plugs to further protect against the dreaded long term effects of header heat.
