Default Comp Cams Pro Magnum Combo

I was planning on doing the LT4 hot cam kit but now I think Im just going to do the RR's and wait on the cam when I have more free time. Will the parts listed below work together and is there anything else I need or should replace while I'm at it?

Also how many shims should I get 16, 32? Do I need to replace the 3/8 studs, if I do should I just upgrade to 7/16? These parts are going on a 94 LT1 with 150k miles.

1318-16 Comp Cams ProMagnum self-aligning 1.6 3/8"

That looks good to me. I have the factory 3/8 or 10mm in place with my RR's. I think they can handle your normal basically stock motor. If I started getting a little more aggressive I will switch to the 7/16 and some 1.7 rr's but thats got a while to go.

I have a pretty good thread about zero lash and what it is I will try to find it for you.

Edit I can't find it. Our search engine really sucks
