Does anyone have experience with a shortblock from AP? I'm considering buying one of their 355 cheap street LT1s while they're on sale. The sale goes off Monday so I'd really appreciate some help.
They're using Diamond pistons in their shortblock kits. Does anyone know anything about these? I'm guessing that they're probably not as light as some of the others. I would love to hear from someone that is actually running one of their kits. Hopefully someone out there is using one. I don't really want to be the first.
APE is a very good shop the only problemis that they take forever to get work done , my best friends car has been at there shop for a year its should be a an 8sec car when its done. And the pistons they are using are the best piston you can buy no joke. its very light and very strong. my friends car that is also build by APE was set up for a 300 shot of nitrous and its using the pistons. if you get a short block form them make sure you let him know that you need it in no longer than 4 weeks and dont pay them until the short block is done. i would go for it the work the do is great.6 of my friends are using APE motors and they all run very good. my motor was going to get built by them but i didnt want to wait forever to get it. he said 6 weeeks but i knew for sure its going to take longer.
