Callaway TT dyno sheets- post exhaust work
Ok guys, I finally got my dyno sheets uploaded after the recent exhaust work I had done in Nov. ( the sheets blew out the window @ 90mph )
Anyway you can see how much of a difference the large exhaust makes on a turbo car. The first sheet is my baseline dyno of which was a Callaway upgraded Wonderbar, no cats, AFPR and boost set a ~12.3lbs or 55" hg. Again the intercoolers get blazing hot after 2 runs.
The next dyno sheet is my current set up with everything the same add a 2 3/4" Power Effects exhaust system. As you can see the boost comes on A LOT faster with the larger exhaust....which explains the fart cans on the import turbo cars. Uncorrected numbers were 450+rwhp/600rwtq on a 70 degree day. I think these are more than accurate of what the car would do moving down the road with air traveling over the intercoolers.
The last sheet is a comparision of boost set at 10lbs or 50"hg compared to ~12.3-5lbs or 55-56"hg. If I close my PE mufflers down the motor feels really choked and I only get around 50-51"hg.
The next step is to do an Extrude Honed Accel TPI base and AZspeed/TPIS runners.

Nice numbers!
I seemed to forget what you did to the exhuast. Did you upgarde your down pipes/pipes off the turbos to 3"?
is the stock callaway set up 2.5"?
I have been going in circles over how to fit 3" downpipes on my mess.

Thats awesome! What f'ing sucks is that you're STILL bound to the goddamn stock TPI powercurve. Can't ya just cut each intercooler in half and slap a superram in there.
p.s.
That top sheet looks a lil' lean for a turbo car in the 3800 area. Was that when you were still dealing with the microfueler issue?

Bill the exit of on the turbine side is only 2.5", like you said. We kept the stock down pipe and where it turns under the car to head out the back we cut that and welded in the 2.75" piping. There less than 8" of 2.5" pipe I know...possibly 6 or less. We used some mandrel bent pipe to make some lead tubes to where the Power Effects system picks up, its from a 96car.

gonna look like a Supra curve before long
The TPI is the only thing really crippling the car right now. Callaway has talked of putting their 100+ manifold back into production, but its a whole package which consists of more bottom end upgrades, fuel system, cam etc...gonna run about 10k which might as well be 100k on my budget.
According to Ultra Slow and 8388 I can gain another 1000rpm of useable power but thats alot of money to invest for a little return...notice Im still at 400rwhp at 5krpm but its falling so fast at that point its worthless.
Yea it was running lean for a while, but we got that straightened out. it runs about 11.5-11.7 across the board now.

Good good!
I may be in FL a few times over the next couple months. Where exactly is Boost City?

Man, screw all this super ram/stroker crap. I'm slapping a turbo on mine if/when I decide to get crazy with it Less hassle, more volumetric efficiency, better mileage.. The baldturbofreak page was awesome, I want to see a dyno chart. That turbo was the size of a large watermellon.. Jeebus!
As for the curve, I wouldn't complain about it too much. For whomever brought up the supra curve, you know that those things can't break into the 10s with 800hp right? On the freeway you're dead, I don't care what you have. but you'd walk all over one of them with half the horsepower from a standstill..

That was actually me I just said that b/c of how fast the boost & hp builds now....a better intake and it would just keep going up.
I raced a "525rwhp" Supra when I was in my 406rwhp form. It was VERY close with him having a slight edge. I know I could handle him now.

What do a Supra with 400, 600, 800 and 1000 HP have in common? They all run 12s. But seriously, when you get a driver who actually can drive those things out of the hole you're dead no matter what. Most drivers just won't abuse them like they need to be.
p.s.
My wimpy 322rwhp Superram engine running high 12s so far holds its own on the highway with supras running high 11s.

Ive really been considering some of the 19.5" Supertrapp cans...5" exterior and 3" inside.

I agree the TPI sucks. The torque is great but I can stand to lose a little for some upper rpm gains.
Why don't you buy my car so I can start saving some money for later in life. I'll never retire at this rate I'll be 60yrs old and still dumping money into it in the search of more power.
