Anybody...............the old 350 reached max torque at 3500 and max HP at 4800 rpm..........so I guess this 383 is going to make max HP at the 6500 rpm redline.....right?.......but were is the max torque which will be the greatest fuel demand going to be........or is the max torque the greatest fuel demand?............right now I'm puke rich using those rpm settings...........what are you supercharged guys seeing.

So I have a 383 running 12lbs of boost with heads and cam plus forged pistons and (at the time of this run / tune) the carroll intercooling probably wasn't working well as the previous owner had used normal water in the system (full of limescale). Anyway, as you can see the torque peaks fairly low down and max power comes higher up.

Hope this helps!
Andy.

480 12psi for 383 motor seems low to me. My old SC combo 14.2psi resulted 544rwhp and 598rwt at only 4600rpm and shot down because fuel is lean out on top and it is "untuned" chip.

Bruce,

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what injectors you were running? I'm running 24# injectors with 3 supplemental injectors at the throttle body (I think they are 30# injectors at the TB).

Andy.

Andy
my car put on the dyno just to make a few pulls, the chip are from my old 350ci head/cam combo. So it is not the right chip for mine 383ci SC setup. The initial pull with out any tuning. All we did was swap out my 30s injector to a 50s. For a 383ci with 12-14psi and tuned can easily see 600rwhp. So I never did get my car tuned. After the initial dyno pulls, I than drove the car for roughtly 5 weeks and scraped the SC and gone turbo.
